- Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to wait in the waiting area during their child’s lesson.
- If you are unable to access the building either ring the outside “B” doorbell or text me at (780) 678-4762.
Rescheduling and Make-ups:
- Rescheduling - If a lesson time needs to be rescheduled, notice must be given 24 hours before their next lesson.
- Make-up lessons - If notice is not given for a lesson reschedule, a student may set up a make-up lesson. Only one make-up lesson may be scheduled per semester.
- Sickness - If able, when a student falls ill we will temporarily switch to online lessons until the student recovers. If the student is unable to attend their lesson(s), the Make-up lesson policy will apply.
- Due to a full schedule, make-up lessons either be scheduled when a spot becomes available during the week, or will be set during non-teaching breaks as follows:
- Makeups unused before Remembrance Day will be scheduled on November 12th.
- Makeups unused before Christmas Break will be scheduled on the 23rd of December, with additional days opening up if needed.
- Makeups unused before the end of March will be scheduled on March 25th, with additional days opening up if needed.
- Year-end make-up lessons will happen after the final recital event (TBD).
In-person Lessons:
- Students are required to bring their own instruments/materials for music lessons. These materials include books, folders, drumsticks, guitar picks, etc. Don’t forget to bring them each lesson!
- Students and parents shall wait quietly while they wait for their lesson time/child to finish their lesson.
Online Lessons:
- Lessons are delivered via Microsoft Teams, so please have the software set up and ready to go. I can help with some of the technical aspects of the application.
- Be prepared for your lesson and ready to go a few minutes before your scheduled time.
- Younger students may need assistance with online lessons, so parents/guardians should be available during their child’s lesson to help out.
Cancellation:
- I require two weeks' paid notice for lesson cancellation.
Communication:
- You can contact me at (780) 678-4762. I highly suggest texting as I may be unavailable to take calls at certain times of the day. During my lesson prime times (3pm - 8pm) there will be delays in responses.
- Use [email protected] as a backup. I will be sending out emails from this address with future information including recitals and workshops.
If you have questions or concerns regarding any of the above policies please let me know.
